Riad Vendôme runs eleven types of stay in the Marrakech medina, from a two-night romantic escape at €195 for two to a seven-day Sahara circuit at €560 per person. Below is every programme we actually run, with who it suits, how long it takes and what it starts at. Nothing here is a package you have to take whole: the cards are the usual shapes, and most stays end up as a combination of two of them. Riad Vendôme has 12 rooms, 20 with the neighbouring riad, and takes up to 45 guests on exclusive hire.

Honeymoon & romantic stay
For: Couples, honeymooners, anniversaries · Length: 2 to 4 nights
A suite looking onto the pool, the rooftop jacuzzi at 36°C, a private hammam and dinner served in the patio rather than in a dining room. Unmarried couples are welcome; no marriage certificate is asked for.

Spa, hammam & massage
For: Anyone who wants the spa as the centre of the stay · Length: Half-day to 3 days
Private oriental hammam in marble and tadelakt, black-soap scrub, massages in the patio room or on the rooftop. The hammam takes one group at a time, so slots are set in writing before you arrive — and we place them on day two, never on arrival day.

Cooking class with Chef Naima
For: Couples, families, groups up to 45 · Length: 3 hours, or a full day with the spa
Market shopping in the souk, then tagine, couscous or pastilla cooked with Chef Naima and eaten on the rooftop. Vegetarian, vegan, halal, gluten-free and allergy menus are adapted when you tell us in advance.

Hen do

Golf holiday

Eleven courses within 15 to 30 minutes of the riad, tee times booked ahead, caddy and private transfers, and the hammam waiting when the round is over. Éric is a golfer and books the courses himself.

Desert & Agafay

Agafay is 45 minutes away and can be done as one night. Merzouga is 8 to 9 hours of road across the Tizi n'Tichka pass at 2260 m: we spread the outward leg over two days and we never sell the dunes as a half-day trip.

Family stay
For: Families with children of any age, up to 45 for a reunion · Length: 3 to 7 nights
The heated patio pool is the non-negotiable part. One outing a day, the 12:00–16:00 nap kept intact, children's menus by Chef Naima, and honest warnings: a pushchair is awkward in the medina and the souks are intense for a toddler.

Yoga & wellness retreat
For: Teachers bringing a group, or individuals · Length: 3 to 7 days
Rooftop shala at sunrise, two sessions a day, hammam and massages between practices, and the cooking class included in the longer formats. Teachers can take the whole riad for their students.

- The hammam goes on day two, never on arrival day. After a flight, a transfer and a 15:00 check-in, a steam bath and a scrub leave most guests asleep by the time dinner is served.

How do I choose between all these programmes?
Tell Éric four things and the choice makes itself: how many nights you have, roughly what budget per person you are working to, who is coming (a couple, a family with young children, a group of twelve), and what you actually want out of the trip — rest, food, the desert, or a celebration. Can two programmes be combined in one stay?
Yes, and most stays of four nights or more are combinations. Cooking and spa is the most common pair, golf and spa the next, and the desert is regularly added to a medina stay. What matters is the order: the hammam goes on day two, the desert legs are spread so nobody spends nine hours in a car and then eats late, and the cooking class works better on a full morning than squeezed into an afternoon.
Do I have one contact for the rooms, the activities and the transfers?
Yes. Éric, the owner since 2011, is your single contact from the first message to your departure. How far ahead should a programme be booked?
For the rooms alone, a few weeks is usually enough outside the school holidays. For anything that involves the hammam, an exclusive hire, a golf tee time or a desert departure, the constraint is the supplier, not the riad: the hammam takes one group at a time, and prime morning tee times at the top courses go four to six weeks ahead in high season. Send your dates as soon as they are fixed and the slots are held in writing.
Are these prices final?
They are starting prices, per person unless the line says otherwise, and they are what you pay when the format matches. They move with the season, the group size and what you add. Nothing is charged that is not written in your quote first, and the quote arrives within 24 hours. The rate note under each price table on this site carries the date it was last checked.
