From engineering to hospitality
Éric graduated from IMT Atlantique — one of France's leading engineering schools (formerly Télécom Bretagne / Sup Telecom). He spent several years working on wind energy projects with German and Italian partners, based in Italy.
In 2013, he made a different choice. He came to Marrakech — not on holiday, but to stay. He found a riad in the Dar El Bacha neighbourhood, a historic area of the medina 10 minutes from Jemaa El Fna. He restored it. He opened it.
Thirteen years later, he is still there. He has welcomed hundreds of groups — seminars, hen parties, yoga retreats, families, couples on honeymoon — and replied personally to every message.

Naima and the team
Naima has been cooking at Riad Vendôme since the early days. Her cooking class is one of the most consistently praised experiences at the riad — she has a perfect 5/5 Google score with 47 individual reviews.
She teaches couscous, tagine, bastilla, Moroccan pastries. She does not just show you a recipe. She explains the spices, the sourcing, the family variations, the stories behind the dishes. Guests leave not just with a recipe card, but with an understanding.

Riad Vendôme operates across 2 adjoining riads in the Dar El Bacha neighbourhood — one of the most beautiful in the Marrakech medina. 17-20 rooms in total, managed by Éric as a single operation with a single point of contact.
