The Moroccan massage at Riad Vendôme
A Moroccan massage is given after the hammam, once the skin has been warmed by the steam and scrubbed with black soap: that is the traditional order, and it is what sets it apart from a standard spa massage. Our therapists work with argan oil, pressed in Morocco, on long enveloping movements rather than on pressure points. An hour of Moroccan massage with argan oil can be booked on its own, or as part of the hammam + massage package. Two massage rooms, one of them for massages in pairs.
What is a Moroccan massage?
It is a massage with argan oil given after the hammam, in the traditional order: steam, black soap scrub, then massage. The movements are long and enveloping, over the whole body, rather than targeted on pressure points. It is the most requested treatment in the spa.
