The Riad Vendôme : your base golf in Marrakech
A boutique riad in the medina, not a suburban resort. Riad Vendôme is located in the Dar El Bacha neighbourhood, 7 minutes' walk from Jemaa El-Fna. After your round, you return to a real Moroccan riad with its patio fountain, zelliges, oriental hammam and heated rooftop jacuzzi with views of the Koutoubia and Atlas Mountains. In the evening, dine at the riad or head out to medina restaurants — an experience golf resorts simply can't offer.

Tee Time Reservation — We Secure the Best Slots
Reserving the ideal tee time at Marrakech's top courses is not straightforward. In high season (October–April), prime morning slots at Royal Golf, Amelkis and Samanah fill up 4 to 6 weeks in advance — and the clubs prioritise their regular partners and hotel concierges over independent enquiries from abroad.
This is where 13 years of local relationships make the difference. Éric has been organising golf stays from Riad Vendôme since 2013. The clubs know him personally. When you book your golf holiday with us, we call the courses directly on your behalf and secure tee times that match your preferred schedule — typically 8:30am to 11am starts, which is when the light is beautiful, the temperature is perfect, and the pace of play is smooth.
If you try to book tee times yourself from abroad, you will likely find that online forms return "no availability" for the popular morning slots, or that you only receive confirmation for off-peak afternoon times (14h–16h) when the sun is harshest and the course is crowded with lesson groups. Some courses don't even accept online bookings from non-members — they require a local partner or hotel to reserve on your behalf.

The caddies in Marrakech
Caddies are required on most Marrakech courses. They know their courses inside out, share game tips and carry your bag. The caddy is included in our packages (1 caddy for 2 players). Tipping is at your discretion (10-15 EUR per caddy recommended).
Location de equipment : if you don't travel with your clubs, all courses offer the equipment rental of quality (full sets Callaway, TaylorMade or Titleist). Expect 30 to €50 by set. Eric can also organise the delivery de clubs loues directly at the riad.

Marrakech: Africa's Premier the destination
The Palm Meadows and Royal Amelkis circuits attract players from across Europe for good reason: year-round mild weather (18–28°C), impeccably maintained fairways, and a backdrop of the Atlas Mountains that makes even a bogey feel worthwhile. The greens here are notably fast — Agadir veterans often comment that Marrakech courses require a recalibration of approach. What to Know Before Playing in Marrakech
The courses around Marrakech are designed for serious play. Royal Marrakech (formerly known as the Royal Palace Course) was designed by Robert Trent Jones Sr. and is considered one of Africa's finest layouts — demanding, beautifully maintained, with a back nine that genuinely challenges low handicappers. Amélyis and Al Maaden offer more accessible alternatives for mixed-ability groups who want enjoyable rounds without the pressure of a championship track.
Reserving tee times directly through the clubs is possible, but Éric at Riad Vendôme handles this for groups as part of the stay package — saving time and ensuring the correct number of buggy bookings, club hire arrangements and caddie coordination. For groups of 8+, there are often block booking options during the week that reduce green fees significantly compared to individual Saturday bookings.
One practical note: bring sunscreen even in winter. Marrakech sits at 480m altitude and the UV index remains high year-round. A round in February starts at 12–14°C in the morning but reaches 22–24°C by midday. A light layer over your polo for the first few holes is advisable. Shoes with soft spikes are strongly recommended — metal spikes are prohibited on most courses in the city.
